TDAP (BOOSTRIX) VACCINE

VACCINE USAGE: BOOSTRIX is a vaccine indicated for active booster immunization against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis. BOOSTRIX is approved for use as a single dose in individuals 10 years of age and older.

VACCINE DOSAGE: a single intramuscular injection (0.5 mL).

VACCINE INGEDIENTS: formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, aluminum hydroxide, polysorbate 80 (tween 80), Latham medium derived from bovine casein, Fenton medium containing a bovine extract, Stainer-Scholte liquid medium.

ADVERSE VACCINE REACTIONS: hypersensitivity, anaphylaxis, coma, decreased level of consciousness, prolonged seizures, Guillain- Barre syndrome, brachial neuritis, syncope, progressive or unstable neurologic disorders, Arthus- type hypersensitivity, headache, fatigue, gastrointestinal symptoms, fever, lymphadenitis, allergic reaction such as anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions, myocarditis, injection site mass, back pain, convulsions (with and without fever), encephalitis, facial palsy, loss of consciousness.
